Kaitlin Seto (previously Kaitlin Springer) is an accomplished violist based in the vibrant Tampa Bay area, recognized for her dynamic performances and deep commitment to music education. Through her dedication to her craft and her commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians, Kaitlin has had the privilege to work toward having a great impact on her local community.
For the past five years, Kaitlin has served as a Teaching Artist with The Florida Orchestra, where she has brought her passion and expertise to public school orchestra classes throughout Pinellas County. In addition, Kaitlin is a Viola Professor at the University of Central Florida, where she inspires and guides the next generation of musicians with her insightful teaching and mentorship. Kaitlin’s teaching philosophy is to meet students where they are at and to help bring them up to that next level of artistry through technique and focused practice. Her dedication to music education has recently led to Kaitlin becoming President of the board for the North Palm Youth Symphony, an organization that is dedicated to providing students a world class orchestral experience in an inclusive, positive, and nurturing environment.
Kaitlin's extensive musical training includes studying under some of the most renowned viola instructors in the country, including Michelle LaCourse at Boston University, Rita Porfiris at Hartt School of Music, and Ralph Fielding at Lynn Conservatory. Through their guidance, Kaitlin has developed a strong foundation in music that has allowed her to continually grow and evolve as a musician.
Kaitlin's commitment to achieving mastery on the viola and her dedication to lifelong learning have earned her a reputation as a sought-after performer throughout the Tampa Bay area. She approaches each performance and practice session with extreme focus, always striving to be the best musician she can be.
